Large-scale Russian Strikes Disrupt Power Across Kyiv
Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, as stated by local authorities.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.
Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.
"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a public message.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.
A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.
Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.
Regional authorities said the city experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.
The strikes come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.
The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.
National leaders told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.
Officials stated utility staff and officials were bracing for further attacks.
