I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
